Welcome to the Home of Beautiful Events – Hillmount House. This privately owned Georgian house, stable-block and coach-house with sea-view gardens in County Antrim, Northern Ireland offers a unique venue for private and corporate events. Create a bespoke event for your guests in our newly renovated stable-block and coach-house or dine al fresco with a marquee on the lawns. Bespoke corporate packages can be arranged offering a full range of team building activities. What makes this venue truly special is exclusive hire of our wonderful Georgian Country House as accommodation for up to 10 people. As an owner-operated team, we promise you a professional and personalised service with a down-to-earth approach making your event planning seamless and memorable for all the right reasons.

What we have to offer


Hillmount House is located in Drains Bay, near Larne in Co. Antrim. Its gardens sweep down towards the sea with lawns suitable for a large marquee. A newly renovated 2 storey stable-block and coach-house in the grounds can accommodate up to 100 people for dinner, conferences and events, as well as a relaxing bar and lounge area and outdoor courtyard. The main house with 5 double / twin bedrooms, three bathrooms, large kitchen / dining room, drawing room, cosy living room and formal dining room is available for exclusive serviced hire for up to 10 people. There is private car-parking on-site.

Business partners Andrew and Simon have created a unique venue suitable for special bespoke weddings and corporate events. Hillmount has been pain-stakingly refurbished, renovated and replanted to create an exclusive country house venue. With Andrew’s background in interior design, the stylish interior finishes are sophisticated and elegant, but also comfortable and relaxing. Their friendly down-to-earth welcome will make you and your guests feel instantly at home.

What makes us unique

history of hillmount

This gentleman’s residence was built in 1728 for the Countess of Antrim. The Georgian part of the house has been well maintained and was given grade 2 listed status in the late 1970’s. The gate lodge and gates are also listed.
